Layer Abstract
2m depth contours Coverage of the South East Queensland bathymetric 2m contours.
Areas of Conservation Significance - Cape York The Conservation and Natural Heritage Assessment Project has identified areas of natural heritage significance across the Cape York Peninsula Land Use Strategy (CYPLUS) study area. The assessment has either modelled conservation values across the Peninsula, focused on particular themes, or used species specific or point location information. The assessment has particularly focused on extensive conservation values.

The Areas of Conservation Signficance Database for the Cape York Peninsula region details the distribution of particular conservation values across the Peninsula. The database contains boundaries and names of the 36 areas identified as having conservation significance.

Australian Fishing Zone Boundary of Australian Fishing Zone for Queensland.
Bathymetry - Queensland The database contains 15 arc second gridded bathymetry data for the Australian continental shelf and adjacent region. The model was developed using the 30 arc second bathymetry model as a starting point and incorporates much new data. The data can be used to create regional and Australia-wide images of continental margin morphology of a high standard, and is suitable for use in diverse applications such as resource assessment, oceanographic modelling and fisheries studies. An Australian Geological Survey Organisation (AGSO) record will soon be available which describes how the 30 arc second gridded bathymetry data were constructed and discusses limitations and improvements to the approach.

Bathymetry contours were derived from the 15 arc second bathymetry grid and are stored as an Arc/Info line coverage.

Coast and Clean Seas Projects Location of Coast and Clean Seas Projects from 97-2002
Coast of Queensland (Excluding Estuaries) Coastline of Queensland. Contains a vector representation of the topographic features depicting Australia's coastline, and State and Territory borders. The coastline represents the position of the Mean High Water, the seaward edge of coastal mangroves, inlet closing lines and those parts of the coastline defined as indefinite. New AUSLIG Coast 1:100 000 coverage for Queensland 1998.
Coast of Queensland (Including Estuaries) Coastline of Queensland. A vector representation of the topographic features depicting Australia's coastline, and State and Territory borders. The coastline represents the position of the Mean High Water, the seaward edge of coastal mangroves, inlet closing lines and those parts of the coastline defined as indefinite.
Coastal Landscapes The coverage was part of a study to investigate the scenic resources of the landscape of the entire Queensland coast. The primary focus of the study was the visual experience i.e. the landscape that is seen and experienced. 'Landscape ' in this context refers primarily to the visual appearance of the land, including its shape, form and colour.

Coastal Wetlands of SE Queensland Remnant Vegetation Survey and Mapping of coastal wetland communities below the 2.5m contour from the Noosa Shire-Maroochy Shire boundary to the Qld-NSW border. Other relevant coverages include: Point coverage of survey sites for the study area, 1973 mangrove vegetation of Moreton Bay polygon coverage. Complete site data are stored in the Queensland Herbarium CORVEG database
Coastcare Projects Location of Coastcare Projects in Queensland.

Coastcare is a community-based program that encourages residents, volunteers, businesses and interest groups to care for their coastal areas. Local communities are frequently the first to identify problems and are often the best-placed to identify solutions. Coastcare aims to encourage community pride in natural and cultural heritage resources and to make the community more aware of how to look after these assets.

The program tries to bring together the community and bodies responsible for coastal management, and can provide funding and other resources to help tackle problems on the coast.

Commercial fishing – reported number of operations (boats) and total catch by estuary for 1999 Number of boats reporting and estimated total catch from commercial fishing activity by estuary (or estuary aggregation in a single 6 minute latitude / longitude grid) during 1999 in the Queensland Fisheries Service commercial fisheries logbook system (CFISH) by fishing method.
Community-Based Monitoring Sites Location of community-based monitoring projects on fisheries habitats in Queensland as of the end of 1998. The dataset also includes details of the organisation involved in the project and details of the project. (Goyne, M; Dunning, M and Zeller, B. (1999). Coral Cays - GBRMP Coral Cay features on the Great Barrier Reef, within the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area
Cyclone Frequency - CAMRIS This database presents an index of the intensity, frequency and density of cyclone occurrence in the Australian region. It has been derived from data held in CSIRO CAMRIS database and originally collected by the Bureau of Meteorology from 1958 - 1990. The cyclone_density code in the coverage represents: 1 Australia, 2-23 the nominal index of cyclone density/intensity, as per the Bureau of Meteorology cyclones database.

The Coastal and Marine Resources Information System (CAMRIS), is a small-scale spatial analysis system developed in collaboration by several divisions of Australia's Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), as part of the CSIRO Coastal Zone Program.

Digital Atlas of Australian Soils Digital version of the Atlas of Australian Soils at 1:2 000 000 scale (Northcote et al. 1960-1968). The digital version of the Atlas of Australian Soils was created by NRIC in 1991 from scanned tracings of the published hardcopy maps (1 - 10), Northcote et al. 1960-1968.
